Eol-garadar (MRZ-23)

Eol-Garadar stands as a shining beacon, renowned as the home of noble heroes and champions of liberty.

Overview

Eol-Garadar stands as a shining beacon, renowned as the home of noble heroes and champions of liberty.

In a galaxy where many sectors yielded to avarice, subjugation, and turmoil, Eol-Garadar emerged as a stalwart defender of hope and order — even outside the welfare of the Council of Peace — in the aftermath of the Convergence War.

[!NOTE] COP Jurisdiction Canon: Eol-Garadar is not rebelling against the COP nor deliberately neutral — the COP's jurisdiction simply does not function in the MRZ. Eol-Garadar fills the justice vacuum by doing the best they can on their own terms.

Foundational Principles

Universal Rights

Eol-Garadar embraces all, irrespective of past allegiances or political leanings. Its only demand is adherence to foundational laws framed as:

Essential rights intrinsic to all sentient beings — transcending cultural, temporal, or political divisions.

The Tenets

  • Freedom of expression
  • Poetic justice — not rigid legalism
  • Disdain for rigid formality
  • Strong belief in individual responsibility

Alignment: Chaotic Good. Eol-Garadar follows justice from the heart, not from written code. Think D&D Chaotic Good — they do what is right even when it breaks convention.

Military Doctrine: The DAC

Eol-Garadar's military operates as a Decentralized Autonomous Corporation (DAC) — a decentralized army whose members are voted and elected through governance wars.

With unwavering commitment, the DAC dispatches its valorous legions against slavers and other malevolent forces — not for riches or glory, but in pursuit of the greater good.

This altruistic ethos magnetizes countless souls from diverse origins, each aspiring to contribute energies and resources to a shared noble purpose.

[!IMPORTANT] The DAC structure means Eol-Garadar's military leadership is not inherited or appointed — it is earned through governance participation. This is decentralized warfare with democratic legitimacy.

Political Standing

  • Their principled stand has drawn the ire of numerous adversaries across the ideological landscape
  • The unyielding spirit of Eol-Garadar has, thus far, repelled any threats
  • A populace deeply trusting of its leadership, and a leadership utterly devoted to its people
  • This makes Eol-Garadar an indomitable presence on the political stage of Galia

Liberation Origin (~2523)

  • ~2523: Eolus and the Garadar DAC discover a sector under the oppressive rule of the Pavo Royal Family
  • Following the death of the Pavo Royal Family during The Night (~2522), the sector's oppressive apparatus begins to fracture
  • After a long conflict against the remaining loyalists, Eolus and the DAC join forces with the civilian population
  • The civilians unite with the Garadar DAC, and the sector becomes Eol-Garadar — the first DAC-owned sector in Galia Expanse

[!NOTE] Eol-Garadar doesn't reject the COP — the COP simply cannot reach the MRZ. Eol-Garadar fills the void with its own brand of justice.

Narrative Hooks

  • Anti-COP parallels: They do what COP claims to do, but independently — does this create friction or admiration?
  • Magnet for refugees: A sector that takes anyone regardless of past — what tensions does that create?
  • "Poetic justice": A legal system that values spirit-of-the-law over letter-of-the-law — how does that work in practice?
  • Enemy magnetism: Slavers, authoritarians, and exploiters all hate them — a sector constantly at war with evil
