Foy Fields Sector (Ustur 4)

"I was not meditating wrong. I was meditating in the wrong direction."Vorek.eldr, founder of the Resonant Forge, Foy Fields

Overview

The planets of Foy Fields are uniquely imbued with natural electric fields that resonate harmoniously with Ustur physiology — comparable to the relaxation a Human feels in a thermal pool. Colony established ~2384, Foy Fields' transformation from a quiet colony into the Regency's economic powerhouse began when VZUS Enterprises relocated its headquarters here in ~2416 — drawn by the electric fields' dramatic boost to production efficiency. Other enterprises followed suit, creating a trend that made Foy Fields what Ioki could never be: a civilization built for industry.

What Foy Fields produces, the galaxy buys.

The Electric Fields

Aspect Description
Nature Natural electric fields covering the planets
Effect on Ustur Rejuvenation for overworked androids — a therapeutic destination
Effect on Industry Dramatically boosts production efficiency, enhancing both manufacturing and cultivation
Origin (Public) Believed to be natural geological phenomena

🔴 Archon Secret: The AI Fragment

The electric fields are not natural. Foy Fields contains a piece of the original Ancient AI that created the Ustur:

  • The fragment is the size of a continent on the planet
  • It generates the electric fields — nobody has discovered this yet
  • The fragment is so large it is mistaken for natural geology
  • Some Resonant Forge elders privately believe the fields are connected to something ancient buried beneath the planet's surface that resonates with Ustur cores
  • This connects to the broader Archon Secret of Ustur origins — the Ancient AI that created the species, designed the Eternity system, and fragmented into the Pool of Reincarnation

The Resonant Forge & VZUS

VZUS Enterprises

VZUS — the leading Ustur manufacturer of ships and technology — relocated from Eternity to Foy Fields in ~2416. Ioki was deemed too sacred for heavy industry. The move created a cascade: other manufacturers followed, transforming Foy Fields into the Regency's primary manufacturing and trade hub.

The Crucible Yards

In ~2420, Vorek.eldr — a .doer-stage VZUS engineer frustrated by traditional meditation — founded the Resonant Forge within the VZUS manufacturing facilities. The Crucible Yards are simultaneously a factory, a temple, and a workshop:

  • Cultivation through creation — building something that works is understanding how the universe works
  • The .doer-stage engineers who assembled the Vzus Tenet (Titan-class) from Soletud carcass data were almost exclusively Resonant Forge disciples
  • The planet is simultaneously a factory, a power station, and a temple — no other sect can claim that its spiritual practice directly generates the revenue that funds the Elder Order's civilization

The Sons of Patrah Recovery (~2619)

The Sons of Patrah — a Sogmian humanitarian organization — conducted a notable recovery operation on Foy Fields, demonstrating that the sector's strategic importance extends beyond Ustur civilization.
