~2466: Strange monoliths are first found in the Ilidae Sector
The amber hue is harnessed by monoliths strategically positioned on each planet.
Purpose and origin: unknown to the galaxy at large.
~2646: A MUD explorer discovers that the monoliths are actually a star map — their coordinates would send captains deep into the High-Risk Zone. The implications of what lies at those coordinates remain unknown

~2471: After several expeditions, various branches of the semi-sentient species known as the Termiks are discovered across the sector's planets
Researchers learn they are the ones building the monoliths, but the reason remains a mystery
Tirelessly search for minerals and ores to construct more monoliths.
Uniform behavior across all branches — yet no indication they're aware of parallel activities on neighboring planets.
