Etira (Planet — Yuldun Waste, MRZ-32)

Location: Yuldun Waste Sector (MRZ-32)

Overview

Planet Etira is the last capital of the Black Market Auction House (BMAH) and one of the most deliberately isolated worlds in Galia. Beneath its hostile, terraformed atmosphere lies a secret so old that only the Photoli know the full truth — and they have ensured that no one else ever reaches it.

The Dreamer Below

Discovery (~2135)

  • During their early exploration of Galia, the Photoli discovered a strange and powerful creature buried in the heart of planet Etira
  • The creature possessed abilities the Photoli had never encountered
  • They could not destroy it — not because it was truly immortal, but because the Photoli did not know how to kill it
  • The Photoli decided to seal the creature instead

The Sealing

  • The Photoli stole the creature's memories, stripping away its consciousness and identity
  • They confined it to a subterranean pool deep within Etira's core
  • To prevent anyone from reaching the creature, the Photoli terraformed the planet's atmosphere to be lethally hostile to all known species
  • This is the third confirmed case of Photoli cosmological manipulation (alongside draining Night Window's star and casting the Bluvael illusion)

The Name

  • The creature's name in Galia is the "Dreamer Below"
  • Even stripped of its memories, the creature's psychic influence bleeds through — indirect, dreamlike, unsettling
  • The creature is not truly immortal — the Photoli simply lacked the means to destroy it

Current State

  • The Dreamer Below is dead. During the Never Alone incident (~2624), the entity was destroyed
  • The Dark Photoli Bah visited the corpse afterward, looting a silver gem from within the Dreamer's remains and storing it in a pocket dimension
  • The psychic influence that once leaked from the sealed creature has ceased
  • Etira is now a hostile world with a dead god rotting in its core

The Cult of the Dreamer

Origin

  • Over the centuries, the Dreamer Below's indirect psychic influence has reached susceptible minds across the sector
  • A fanatical cult of memory stealers was founded — inspired unconsciously by the creature's nature
  • The cult seeks to resurrect the Dreamer Below by gathering enough stolen memories to reconstruct its consciousness

Methods

  • Cult members practice memory theft — extracting memories from unwilling victims
  • They believe that by feeding enough memories to the creature, they can awaken it
  • Their practices mirror the Photoli's original act of sealing the Dreamer — a dark echo of the method used to imprison it

Threat Level

  • The cult operated in the shadows of Yuldun Waste's criminal underworld
  • Their true purpose was unknown to most — even the BMAH considered them eccentric
  • Post-Never Alone: Herdus was killed by Saand, the Church was exposed, and the Dreamer was destroyed. The cult is effectively defunct

The BMAH Capital (Former)

Origin (~2515)

  • ~2515: During the Convergence War, Eknok, a notorious war criminal, crash-lands on planet Etira
  • He and his crew discover how to bypass the planet's atmospheric storm
  • They establish a black market hidden from the rest of the galaxy, exploiting Etira's hostile atmosphere as natural security
  • This operation grows into the Black Market Auction House (BMAH)

Destruction (~2624)

  • During the Never Alone incident, Saand sabotaged the BMAH gathering, killed Herdus.soul, and exposed the Church
  • The Council of Peace invaded Etira with military-grade atmospheric shielding, destroying the BMAH's subsurface bunkers
  • The BMAH is now in transit — scattered across Galia, searching for a new permanent base under Garonthe's leadership
  • Etira is effectively abandoned — no longer a functioning capital for any organization

The Never Alone Story

[!NOTE] The full story of the Dreamer Below is depicted in the "Never Alone" narrative. Key outcomes: Herdus.soul killed by Saand, Church exposed, COP invades Etira, BMAH destroyed, Dreamer destroyed, corpse looted by Dark Photoli Bah.
